Allen's presentation will demonstrate that everyone has tremendous talent connected to the adversity they have experienced. Achieving success takes hard work, and turning life's challenges into opportunities for growth and self-transformation is a key part of that work. Allen will share tools that will empower teens and inspire them to seek out and value mentorship.

Allen is the author of “Brotherly Love," a memoir about the brother he raised and what it takes to persevere in life. Allen has facilitated round table discussions on the topics of trauma, equity, emotional intelligence and mindfulness at educational institutions.
