"Every veteran's grave should have a wreath for the holidays," according to Tim Nash at the American Legion.
A truck load of lovely, fresh wreaths with pretty, red ribbons from Wreaths Across America will be delivered to the Huntley Cemetery on Dean Street, prior to a Veteran Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 18, sponsored by the Village of Huntley, American Legion Post 673, and Rotary Club of Huntley.
Order sheets are available at the American Legion in Huntley and on Rotary Club of Huntley website, HuntleyRotary.org.
You may designate your wreath for the following cemeteries: Huntley, St. Mary Parish, Union, Harmony or Riley.
If you have a relative in another of the 2,000 designated cemeteries across the country, they can have your wreath routed to that cemetery.
To honor a veteran who helped keep you free, mail a check for $15 per wreath, payable to American Legion Post 673, P.O. Box 389, Huntley, IL 60142.
Join ceremony at noon Dec. 18 and help fulfill the goal of having a wreath on every veteran's grave this Christmas season.
