Wego Drama's production of 'Clue: On Stage' to keep the audience guessing
The classic board game characters of Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Colonel Mustard will try to figure out who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room, and with what weapon as Wego Drama brings the madcap comedy thriller to the stage this weekend.
Performances of "Clue: On Stage" will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 5-6, in Weyrauch Auditorium at West Chicago Community High School, 326 Joliet St., West Chicago. Tickets, which are $8 or $5 for students, are available at wegotheatre.com or at the door. Proper masks are required for all audience members.
Based on the Parker Brothers board game and the 1984 movie, "Clue: On Stage" is the perfect mystery show to keep the audience guessing and spark some debate.
Wego Drama senior Ava Fini said, "It is a wonderful play. I have loved this show for years and laugh constantly."
Philip Calabrese continues, "Playing a character that everyone knows from the game is pretty cool. I remember playing the game and now actually being a character is really fun."
"There are so many twists and surprises, even in the set," Elizabeth Ryan adds. "Having the ability to do this show live on stage is quite incredible. Even if someone saw the movie from the 1980s, they are guaranteed to be surprised by the stage show."
The company of actors and crew for the show includes:
• From Carol Stream: Reese Brandt, Philip Calabrese, Hailey Gutierrez, Margaret "Maggie" Hancock, Sarah Larimer, Logan Reed, Alysa Solomon, Kathryn Wenberg and William Wenberg.
