Friends of Wheaton Library to hold Holiday Book and Art Sale Nov. 11-14

The Friends at the Wheaton Public Library are busy preparing for the return of the popular Holiday Book and Art Sale running Nov. 11-14.

The sale features like-new gift books for children and adults, leather-bound treasures, autographed copies, Christmas items, first editions, nostalgia items, silent auctions and framed and unframed art.

All sale items have been donated to the Friends and are individually priced.

Silent auction items this year include a complete collection of Classic Comics, a collection of Star War items, and a huge stack of 45s in its 1960s carrying case.

Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15.

Wheaton's Friends of the Library started in 2003. Anyone can become a member by filling out the application and paying the annual dues, which range from $10 for seniors to $50 for "Best Friends." After you join the Friends, join the team of volunteers to work on sorting donations, stocking the Book Nook, and helping at Book Sales. If interested, send an email to friends@wheatonlibrary.org.
