Township of Schaumburg Recognized with Prestigious Governmental Accounting and Finance Reporting Award

The Township of Schaumburg has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the fiscal year ending February 29, 2020. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. This is the second consecutive year the Township has won the award.

"The Township of Schaumburg is proud to receive this award. It highlights the Township's commitment to excellent financial reporting and transparency," says Supervisor Timothy Heneghan.

The report should exhibit a "spirit of full disclosure" and communicate the "financial story" the organization. An impartial panel judges Certificate of Achievement submissions.
