Wheaton's St. Francis High School to host annual 'Ensuring Our Future' auction April 17
The annual St. Francis High School "Ensuring Our Future" virtual auction is scheduled for Saturday, April 17, to raise funds to support the Wheaton school's academic enhancements, athletic teams, arts programs, co-curricular clubs and tuition assistance.
St. Francis High School attracts bright, diverse and motivated students who have opportunities to grow academically and personally through their healthy involvement in the arts, athletics, service, clubs and campus ministry. Students are elevated to be the best version of themselves through a respectful, supportive and challenging environment as they prepare for college and beyond.
This year's auction program will be presented virtually, and participants will use the GiveSmart bidding technology to bid directly from their mobile devices for the silent and live auction, raffles and Fund-A-Cause donations.
Supporters can choose to participate from home or plan to attend a hosted viewing party. Purchase your auction viewing party by Saturday, April 10, as space is limited.
One of the auction parties will be the "SFHS Rocks! the Arcada Theatre," hosted by Elena and Ron Onesti, at the historic theater in St. Charles. Cost is $100. Enjoy food and open bar, while watching the auction's live broadcast on the big screen. This party is open to all. The party starts at 6:30 p.m.
Auction hosts will lead guests in bidding on one-of-a-kind packages, which include a private at-home dinner for eight with a professional chef, RV Road Trip and a Tennessee Whiskey Tour getaway, among others. Numerous packages also will be available in the silent auction.
"Parents and families appreciate the commitment of the teachers," says Mike Carbery, chair of the board. "They really get to know the students individually both inside and outside the classroom, are approachable, and take a genuine interest in their academic, physical, social and spiritual development. It is clear that their goal is for each and every student to succeed."
In addition to the auction, the St. Francis is sponsoring the "Ensuring Our Future" raffle.
The winner will receive $10,000 or full-year tuition for the 2021-2022 school year. The grand prize will be drawn on April 17. Raffle tickets are $20 each, $100 for six, or $200 for 15 and can be purchased at sfhscollegeprep.org/raffle. You need not be present to win.
