AARP Foundation offers free tax preparation in Township of Schaumburg

The Township of Schaumburg will offer AARP Foundation Tax-Aide services from Feb. 8 through April 9. This program offers free, individualized state and federal tax preparation for low- to moderate-income taxpayers.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling Senior Services at (847) 285-4597. Appointments are first-come-first-served and are limited.

Due to COVID-19, the program structure has changed from previous years. More information will be shared on the updated process once your appointment is scheduled. All building visitors are asked to practice safe social distancing and wear masks.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is the nation's largest volunteer-run tax assistance program and volunteers are certified by the IRS.

The Township of Schaumburg serves more than 140,000 residents in the villages of Elk Grove, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Rolling Meadows, Roselle, Schaumburg and Streamwood.
