Glenbard North, Carol Stream Rotary to host mobile food pantry

Glenbard District 87

One in seven people across northern Illinois is food insecure, meaning they aren't sure where their next meal may come from.

Northern Illinois Food Bank partners with more than 800 feeding program partners across 13 countries to serve neighbors needing food. However, even with the outstanding efforts of the Food Bank, some individuals need additional help.

That's why Glenbard North High School and the Rotary of Carol Stream, along with Northern Illinois Food Bank, is hosting a mobile food pantry to help serve families in need on Saturday, Feb. 6. It will be 9 a.m. to noon at Glenbard North, 990 N. Kuhn Road in Carol Stream.

This mobile pantry is open to everyone, especially residents of Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Glendale Heights, Bloomingdale, West Chicago, Bartlett, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Addison, and Lombard to make sure they can access nutritious food.

Please spread the word about the mobile pantry to those you think may be in need. Like Northern Illinois Food Bank on Facebook, tweet them at @ILfoodbank, or/and post on Instagram and tag @northernilfoodbank.

The goal is to help as many families as possible and spread awareness of the tough fight against hunger. There is enough food in the Glenbard community to make sure that every neighbor can put a meal on the table.
