Glenbard Parent Series offers 'Preparing for Success on the SAT' Jan. 6

The Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present "Preparing for Success on the SAT" with Matthew Pietrafetta and Jeff Selingo at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6.

Go to glenbardgps.org for the link to this webinar.

Questions may be submitted to gilda_ross@glenbard.org prior to the event.

Pietrafetta, an expert in test preparation, will help families learn about the SAT exam in a presentation that will focus on the SAT to be offered at all Glenbard high schools in April. He will discuss the content of the exam, study strategies and when and how to review. Selingo will share insights from his book "Who Gets In & Why: A Year Inside College Admissions."

Pietrafetta founded Academic Approach to define a model of test preparation based less on strategy and more on skills-development. Selingo is a New York Times bestselling author of three books.

Selingo will return to GPS on Oct. 6 to discuss colleges' complicated selection process.
