Anderson Animal Shelter to host a Backyard Bash Oct. 10
Since we can't gather this year for the Walk4Animals to celebrate the final "leg" of the fundraising event, Anderson Animal Shelter has put together a livestreaming event to allow supporters to get together virtually and have some fun!
On Saturday, Oct. 10, enjoy Anderson's Backyard Bash, a free concert, from the safety and comfort of your own backyard. Performers include Infinity, performing classic rock; Batavia's Rocco Loffredi performing current and classic country hits; and Stu & The Nods offering a guitar-driven, bass rattling, drum thumping mix of classic to modern rock and blues.
With the help of four local restaurants and SavWay Fine Wines & Spirits, special meal and drink options have been curated just for Anderson friends and family to enjoy while watching the free online concert event.
Preorder your meals by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7. Boxes will be available for pickup on Oct. 10 before the event. The participating restaurants are Stockholm's Restaurant and Brewpub in Geneva, DRM European Cafe and Deli in St. Charles, Pal Joey's in Batavia, and Jersey Mikes.

Purchase your tickets for two raffle drawings, which will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16. Raffle offerings include:

• "Ultimate Doggie Bag" with a pet portrait photography session with pet photographer Laura Gampfer, which includes a 30-minute outdoor photo session for one or two dogs; a pre-shoot consultation; custom mobile app and digital gallery of your images; $150 print credit for professional prints and products, with a total $300 value; a pet bed, fur blanket, Mud Pie Ceramic Dog Bowl Set and Mat donated by Wet Nose; a handmade leather dog leash and Leopard Print Poop Bag Carrier donated by Around the Collar; and one year of food from Solid Gold (your choice of recipe), valued at $800; and $7 gift card and goody basket from Two Bostons; Delectable Bone Broth from Bruce & Willies Natural Pet Source; and a curated collection of goodies from Spotted Paw, including a free bag of dog food, variety of treats, natural food samples, specialized water and a gift card. The registration fee, including the Walk4Animals face mask and finisher medal, is $15 or $45 for "VIPL (Very Important Pet Lover)," which includes the Walk4Animals T-shirt. Family registration fee is $100 for four. So far they have raised $50,196 of its $150,000 goal.
