Bloomingdale Township services continue during the COVID-19 crisis

Bloomingdale Township Supervisor Michael Hovde Jr. announces that due to COVD-19 concerns, that essential township services, such as the Meals on Wheels, and food pantry distribution via drive-up will continue.

Youth counseling, general and emergency assistance, and general inquiries will be handled by telephone or email. Go to www.bloomingdaletownship.com for contact information.

The following buildings are closed to the public: township supervisor building, 123 N. Rosedale Ave.; General Assistance/Food Pantry building, 123 N. Rosedale Ave, Annex building; and Senior Center building, 6N050 Rosedale Ave.

Supervisor Hovde stated, "We will continue to serve those who are most vulnerable during this extraordinary time. The homebound, elderly, food insecure and those with mental health issues cannot be abandoned in a time of crisis. While our doors will be closed to the public to help curtail the spread of COVID-19, and township staff will be working remotely as much as possible, we are committed to delivering needed assistance via alternative means."
