Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays Des Plaines Cleanup

Last Saturday, several members of the community joined Clean Up - Give Back in a trash cleanup campaign near Oakton and Lee in Des Plaines. Donning their Santa, Elf and other hats, these smiling helpers cleaned in all directions, making the whole area nicer for the residents. Several shoppers thanked the happy elves and they also received several honks and "thumbs up" for their efforts.

Clean Up - Give Back is based in Des Plaines and facilitates cleanup campaigns within an hour's drive of their home base. Donna Adam, president of the organization said, "We want to thank all the volunteers who came out, it was such an enjoyable day, and the elves were especially cute."

With 30 volunteers, 36 bags of trash were removed from the area in the two-hour cleanup. Visit www.cleanupgiveback.org to see their programs and learn how you can easily organize a cleanup in your area.
