Learn about fishing in Canada with Fox Valley Area Anglers Aug. 27

The Fox Valley Area Anglers, a multispecies fishing club, will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the Tap House Grill, 3341 W. Main St. in St. Charles.

The speaker will be Ken Kuhnle, co-host of the WBIG AM 1280 radio station's "The Big Outdoor Show." He is also a featured seminar speaker for the All Canada Show in Chicago and Green Bay, Cabela's Great Outdoors Days, Lee's Bait and Tackle, several fishing clubs, and high school fishing clubs. He is the owner of Fishing Tales Guide Service in which he guides on Lake Geneva and other Southern Wisconsin Lakes. He has served on the board of the nonprofit Take A Vet Fishing. He has been a member of the Fox Valley Area Anglers since 2012. He has 26 tournament wins as well as five "Angler of the Year" titles, and "Rookie of the Year" in 2012. He was the tournament director for the club for the past three years.

Kuhnle fishes waters ranging from deep sea fish in Kauai, king salmon in Alaska, redfish in Louisiana; muskies, pike, smallmouth bass and walleye in Canada; and trophy smallmouth bass in Sturgeon Bay.

At the August meeting, Kuhnle will be giving a presentation on how to break down Canadian waters to improve your fishing in Canada. Bring your friends to this informative presentation.

The club hosts 10 tournaments and about nine additional fishing outings from April through October. Each month features a different speaker covering a variety of topics.
