Biking Around Barrington with Green Drinks

Leave the car in the garage and ride your "green" wheels instead! Join Green Drinks at 7pm on Wednesday, May 29th, upstairs at McGonigal's Pub, 105 S. Cook St., Barrington. This month, Andrew Binder, Village of Barrington Liaison to the Bike Committee will speak about local bicycle trails and the joys of two wheels.

Per the Village of Barrington's website, the Bike & Pedestrian Advisory Committee is a "seven member advisory committee which makes recommendations on the implementation of a comprehensive bikeway and pedestrian plan, including the identification of improved connectivity between communities, promoting a safe and fun bicycle experience in and around the Village's boundaries through education programs and safety campaigns, and coordinating with surrounding agencies to create a complete bicycle and pedestrian network". Train this summer to get in shape for World Car Free Day on September 22!
