Discover science, technology, engineering and math academic opportunities March 19 at College of DuPage

Learn about careers and educational options in science, technology, engineering and math fields at College of DuPage's STEM Spotlight event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000, on the college's main campus, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn.

Free and open to all, this event is geared toward high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with COD faculty, participate in career inventory assessments and hear from an alumni panel.

The event also will provide information about two- and four-year educational options, transfer opportunities and scholarships.

The goal of STEM at College of DuPage is to enhance the quality of STEM instructional and outreach programs and to help current and future students prepare for careers in STEM fields.

COD offers a broad range of academic programs designed to provide students with the educational background and training needed to successfully pursue an advanced degree or career in STEM.

The college also offers a broad range of STEM-related activities and events designed to inform, inspire and entertain, including STEMinars, Women in STEM Career Days, and STEMCON, a free, interactive, family-based celebration of all things STEM.

College of DuPage is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Serving approximately 25,000 students each term, College of DuPage is the largest public community college in the state of Illinois. The college grants seven associate degrees and offers more than 170 career and technical certificates in over 50 areas of study.
