Glenbard Parent Series to focus on 'Persistence, Passion, Grit: Finding Your Unique Talent' Jan. 15

The Glenbard Parent Series Navigating Healthy Families will present "Persistence, Passion, Grit: Finding Your Unique Talent" with Jodi Norgaard at noon Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Community Consolidated School District 93 administration center, 230 Covington Drive in Bloomingdale.

Norgaard is founder of Dream Big Toy Company and creator of the Go! Go! Sports Girls line. She is regularly featured on national media to discuss the need to close the gaps in our workforce by providing children with diverse role models and eliminating the stereotypes that hold them back.

In this presentation, Norgaard will share her entrepreneurial journey, in which she achieved success while challenging the status quo. Norgaard will discuss her journey to launch a socially responsible product, the hard battles she fought, and how her persistence, determination, passion, and resilience - qualities all parents can nurture in their children - changed an industry.

Continuing professional development units are available.

The Glenbard Parent Series is generously sponsored by the Cebrin Goodman Center, Cooperative Association for Special Education (CASE), College of DuPage, DuPage Medical Group, Emmy Gaffey Foundation, Glenbard Early Childhood Collaborative, Holiday Inn/Carol Stream, Prevention Leadership Team of the DuPage County Health Department and Birth to 5 Community Coalition District 93.
