Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far-reaching as helping bring sight to the blind, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community.

Your local Lions Club has been serving the Algonquin community since 1939 with a special emphasis on children, the hearing and visually impaired, and people who are food challenged. Therefore, your Algonquin Lions Club has focused on and works to continue to financially support these causes. The programs are continually changing to meet needs of the community and its motto has never wavered: "We Serve."
