ACFW Invites Writers to Imagery Critique Night

Writers of all genres and levels of experience are invited to share their work during a critique night offered by the American Christian Fiction Writers-Chicago Chapter (ACFW-Chicago) from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 12 in the first-floor Program Room of the Schaumburg Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Critiques will be focused on the use of imagery. Information about the "Write to Success" conference on Saturday, Nov. 3, will also be provided. Non-members are welcome to attend the conference, which takes place in Schaumburg, as well as two ACFW-Chicago meetings, without joining the group.

Presenter and author Susan Miura will provide a recap of September's "The Art of Imagery" workshop before participants begin the critique process, which includes reading each other's work and providing constructive suggestions. Attendance at the September workshop is not a prerequisite to joining the October meeting. Attendees should bring five copies of one page of their manuscript.

For more information, go to the ACFW-Chicago Chapter Facebook page or call ACFW Chicago Chapter President Lara Helmling at (516) 900-5657.
