Burlington Northern Railroad work to briefly close a portion of the Illinois Prairie Path
The Burlington Northern Railroad will prompt intermittent closures of a portion of the Illinois Prairie Path in Batavia next week.
Burlington Northern Railroad will be replacing the deck on a railroad bridge, along the Illinois Prairie Path Batavia Branch.
The project is expected to begin on Tuesday, July 31, and is expected to be completed by Friday, Aug. 3.
The Forest Preserve District asks trail users to be mindful of the project, heavy machinery being used, and of the possibility of intermittent trail closures during the time frames indicated.
