'Hello Summer at The Shell' offers a free season kick-off party with loads of fun

A full day of free fun under the sun awaits …

Join your neighbors to celebrate music, family and the arts during the "Hello Summer at The Shell" kickoff event on Saturday, June 9. Festivities will begin at noon and will conclude with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Take part in the grand opening of Zone250 at noon and be the first to experience the newest adventure during the grand opening of "Toucan's Hideaway" at Turtle Splash Water Park from 1 to 2 p.m.

Play the day away in beautiful Reed-Keppler Park and enjoy an afternoon filled with family fun and entertainment including a cruise night, petting zoo, face painter, caricature artist and food truck from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Families can dance the night away with a series of musical presentations from 5 to 9 p.m.

Featuring music from Railroad Days sensation and Grammy nominated Trio Ellas from California, Leman Middle School Mariachi Band and local band Girl & The Gang.

End the evening with a bang watching fireworks light up the night sky at 9:30 p.m. This event is made possible by the West Chicago Park District, Republic Bank and the City of West Chicago.
