Glenbard Parent Series speaker will offer tips to help young people manage their digital world

On Tuesday, March 7, the Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present "Growing Up Public: Helping Kids Navigate Privacy and Reputation" with Dr. Devorah Heitner. It will be offered at noon and 7 p.m. via Zoom.

Heitner returns to GPS to discuss her most recent book, "Growing Up Public." Her presentation will guide adults in helping young people develop healthy boundaries and safeguard privacy. She will offer tips that encourage young people to generate content that is constructive and sensitive to the feelings of others.

Heitner is a media technology specialist. Her first book, "Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in their Digital World," was written for parents and educators seeking advice on how to help children flourish in a world of constant connectedness.

The Glenbard Parent Series is generously sponsored by the Cebrin Goodman Center, Community Consolidated School District 93 Birth to 5 Coalition, Cooperative Association for Special Education (CASE), College of DuPage, Duly Health and Care, Emmy Gaffey Foundation, Glenbard Early Childhood Collaborative, Kids Matter, Kiwanis Clubs of Division 9, Prevention Leadership Team of the DuPage County Health Department, Rosecrance Health Network and Webb-Hutter Family Fund of DuPage Foundation.
