It was a colorful week of giving and supporting and holiday lights in The Week in Pictures for December 12-18, 2020.

The COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the suburbs, people continued to give their time to those in need, and the Daily Herald named it's annual holiday lights contest winners in The Week in Pictures for December 12-18, 2020.

  Advanced Automotive car and truck repair owners Jim Stepp of Palatine, and Rod Knesper of Deer Park, inspect a 2008 Ford Focus car which they have upgraded with new brakes, oil change and tires. It was headed to the scrap yard by its previous owner but was saved by them.
