If you ask Mary Jaskoviak (in maroon) and Anya Landowski (in blue) to tell you how their rowing careers began, the stories will sound almost identical. Both girls came from swimming backgrounds because that's the sport in which their families were always involved. Feeling unaccomplished and unmotivated, both girls decided to take a break from swimming and try out the St. Charles Rowing Club on the exact same day one year ago.
