Sound check: BaseCamp's haunted house, Birthdayy Partyy's Costume Party, and other ways to celebrate Halloween

Haunted Lisle

BaseCamp Pub transforms into your haunted home away from home this Halloween season as it's taken over by Jax Skull Productions and Adena Presents for an Afterlife Haunted Experience. Starting Thursday, Oct. 24, the bar grounds will be transformed into a haunted maze (run by the creators of the Jaycees haunted house in Lombard, so you know it's creepy), with music indoors and special events leading up to the big day itself:

Thursday, Oct. 24, the madness begins with karaoke and DJ performances as you wait your turn for the thrills and chills of the haunted house.

Friday, Oct. 25, BaseCamp's Masquerade Ball puts the chill in your weekend with a Best Mask contest and tunes from Akib, Bobby De Maria, Brvthers Keeper and DJ Nautic.

Rise, Yours Truly and the Niki Loveley Band take the stage Saturday, Oct. 26, as BaseCamp hosts its $1,000 Costume Contest.

Spend Halloween proper at the Zombee Bomb dance party, complete with three stages of musical entertainment hosted by Wealthy Habits on Thursday, Oct. 31.

As the ghouls return from whence they came, get one more dose of Halloween spirit with Crazy X Saturday, Nov. 2, and one last chance through the haunted house before it fades away until next year.

7 p.m. every night through Saturday, Nov. 2, at BaseCamp Pub, 5750 Lakeside Drive, Lisle. Event prices vary; ticketweb.com.
