Let It Shine, North Shore's new drive thru holiday light show, will launch at Northbrook Court this season

Feel the magic this holiday season and stay safe doing it. Let It Shine, a new holiday drive thru light show is set to launch in Northbrook on November 15th. Guests will be immersed into a wonderland of LED light displays all synchronized to holiday classics. Want to know the best part? You don't have to get out of your car to experience the fun.

The once imagined experience is now a reality for Let It Shine's Co-Founder Glen Gaode. "I took my kids to a similar show while visiting family out-of-state and I thought to myself, why don't we have this in Chicago?" Gaode immediately started formalizing his plan to launch Let It Shine.

"It's been a rough year for everyone and we are grateful to be able to shine a light this season. What better time than now?" says Gaode.

This new, touch less event will make its debut in the west lot of Northbrook Court Mall. Brookfield Properties, the property management company for the mall jumped at the idea to be the first hosting site in the Chicagoland area.

"We are thrilled to bring this exciting event to Northbrook Court this holiday season," says Brian Lee, Northbrook Court's General Manager. "We have already been creative with our parking lot space so the collaboration with Let It Shine was a natural fit."

The event will be open nightly from 4:30 to 10:00 pm on weekdays and until 11:00 pm on the weeknights through Jan. 9th. The display will be closed Thanksgiving and Christmas day.

"I'm very excited and pleased that Let It Shine is coming to Northbrook this season," says Village President, Sandy Frum. "It will be a great use of space in our community and little reprieve from the challenging year,"says Frum.

Time slotted tickets are now available through the event's website and range in price from $29.99 on weekdays to $39.99 on the weekends with an added "fast pass" option to bypass the line. The admission price includes everyone in a single car, proving to be a very affordable family event.

In spirit of the holiday season, a portion of proceeds will benefit NorthShore’s Kellogg Cancer Center in honor of Gaode's throat cancer battle back in 1998.

"We are honored to have been selected by Let It Shine. This unique and creative event is sure to make a lasting impact on our cancer patients and help transform lives," says Bruce Brockstein, MD, Medical Director of NorthShore University Health System Kellogg Cancer Center.
