Glenbard Parent Series to present 'Conquering the Challenges of College Costs' Sept. 15

The Glenbard Parent Series Navigating Healthy Families will present "Conquering the Challenges of College Costs" with Frank Palmasani at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Glenbard West High School, 670 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

Palmasani, author of "Right College, Right Price" and creator of the financial fit online program, will highlight 30 steps families can take to save thousands of dollars in college costs and pay for college without excessive debt.

This seminar will combine the latest information about scholarships, financial aid, student loans and the college search process when financial issues are a factor.

Following Palmasani's presentation at 11:30 a.m., Kiril Spasovski will present "The Early Grad Club: Ways to Complete College Quickly."

Today's cost to attend the University of Illinois for four years is $124,864. What if you could cut the cost and time in half to receive a degree? Spasovski, author and founder of the Early Grad Club, will share his insights into how to help students graduate with higher distinctions.

Spasovski is a Glenbard South alumnus who has shown it's possible to shorten the time needed to earn a four-year degree. He attended Purdue University beginning in August 2013 and graduated in August 2015. Join us and learn how to graduate a university early and the action plan to maximize the college experience. Attendees also will gain an understanding of college challenges and how to create a differentiating factor for today's college student.

Continuing professional development units are available.
