Immanuel Lutheran band, orchestra win awards at festivals

On Saturday, March 11, band students from Immanuel Lutheran School in Batavia participated in a Solo Festival at St. Peter Lutheran School in Schaumburg. All students who attended prepared a piece that they performed with piano accompaniment.

"They each did a fantastic job and should be very proud of themselves!," said Immanuel band director Maxine Lange.

Congratulations go out to Ethan Bello who earned a silver medal on his extremely challenging piece, and to Ashley Heetland, Ethan Peck, Rebekah Dauksha, and Julia Viehweg, who each earned gold medals.
