Stop by Fall Fest Sept. 24-25 at The Growing Place in Aurora

The Growing Place in Aurora is gearing up for a fantastic fall filled with a whole bunch of family fun. On Sept. 24-25, the annual Fall Fest is sure to bring smiles. "Our Fall Fest has been a tradition for over two decades! This year the theme is spiders and we are excited to welcome the Red Oak Nature Center on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.," says Carol Massat, co-owner of The Growing Place. "They will be bringing spiders and insects so the kids can learn about them."

The festival also features a folk music show from the Dona Benkert Trio, tasty treats from DeEtta's Bakery and Heavenly Hot Dogs, face painting, games, a spider scavenger hunt and a spider adventure hayride throughout the day.

"We even invited Grunyon the Gnome to come spin his spider tales," says Massat. "The kids first met Grunyon at our Magical Mini Garden Fest this past June and we can't wait to hear about who he encountered this summer on his travels."
