Or Shalom Offers a Variety of Events for All Ages During Spring and Early Summer

On Friday, May 20, Congregation Or Shalom will host a Young Children's Teddy Bear Shabbat Service at 6 p.m. Children are encouraged to wear their PJs, bring their stuffed animals and stay for a milk and cookie oneg. Children and adults with birthdays and wedding anniversaries in May will be called to the bimah for a special blessing.

Or Shalom's 55+ Social Club will celebrate its fifth anniversary with dinner at 6 p.m., and a program at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, June 15. The group is open to both temple and non-temple members; dues are $18 for the year. For questions or to RSVP, please contact Bill at 55plus@orshalomlc.org.

On Friday, June 17, Or Shalom will hold its first Shabbat in the Park of the summer. It features a B.Y.O. picnic dinner at 6 p.m., followed by the service at 7 p.m. Children and adults with birthdays and wedding anniversaries in June will receive a special blessing by Rabbi Ari Margolis. Children with June birthdays are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift for a child in need. If you would like to attend, please contact the temple office.
