Itasca Schools serve up PIES to raise $ for IPTO at the Itasca McDonald's

On Thursday, October 8th, Benson and Franzen Schools held a McTeacher's Night at the McDonald's on Irving Park Rd. in Itasca. Teachers literally took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for both Schools IPTO. Many teachers worked very hard including Superintendent Benes. The McTeacher jobs included; drive-thru teachers, greeters, teachers cleaning the lobby, front counter teachers, drink teachers, teachers clearing tables, teachers directing traffic, teachers selling pies, teachers in a pie costume, teachers singing for tips and teachers handing out Ronald McDonald stickers. Teachers working included too many to name. Benson and Franzen staff came out in force to support their McTeacher's Night. The Schools had it all covered, and the families all had a great time. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the school. Students came to see their teachers work at McDonald's and support the IPTO. Students enjoyed taking pictures with their teachers and Ronald McDonald. It was a great night! McTeacher's Night was courtesy of the Itasca McDonald's owner/operator, Jan Nelson. Ronald McDonald's appearance was also courtesy of the Itasca McDonald's owner. McTeacher's Night for Benson and Franzen would not have been possible without the coordination of this unbelievable event by IPTO President, Lisa Ciccia.
