Ornaments and books for sale:The South Elgin Heritage Commission is selling copies of "South Elgin, 150 Years of Heritage," a book by Ralph Tredup, and a series of handcrafted composite resin ornaments that depict historical buildings in town. They include: the Peaslee House, a railroad depot and post office; the Truman Gilbert Home; Pioneer School; Third Rail; the Trolley and Trainwaiting Station; the Cox-Lloyd House; the village's first government center and the Kenyon farmhouse and barn. Each ornament is $15, but the Kenyon House is $20. The entire set can be purchased for $140. The book is $20.
