Toys for Tots brings hope to less fortunate

West Chicago, Illinois: December 1, 2011 - The West Chicago Police Department is once again participating in the Toys for Tots Program.

Sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, this program attempts to send a message of hope to children in the community who are less fortunate, a message that will help them become more responsible and productive as they grow up. This message of hope comes in the form of a new toy at Christmas time.

On behalf of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, the West Chicago Police Department will be collecting new, unwrapped toys now through Dec. 23.

These toys can be placed in the box in the front lobby of the police department located at 325 Spencer St. Any questions about the program can be directed to Sgt. Mike Zepeda at (630) 293-2222.

There are additional ways in which those interested can donate to this worthy program. They can donate money online or by mail, donate a vehicle, donate proceeds from online auctions and more. For further information, please visit www.toysfortots.org.
