Sacrifice, Courage & Art- Twelve Veteran Artists On Exhibit, Opening Night Reception
The Italian-American Veterans Museum and the National Veterans Art Museum present, "Sacrifice, Courage & Art," an exhibit featuring the art of twelve American veterans of war. In honor of Veterans Day, the Opening Night reception will be held Thursday, November 10 from 6pm to 8pm at the Italian-American Veterans Museum located at 3800 W. Division in Stone Park. Open to the public, admission and parking are free.
The IAVM is privileged to host this compelling exhibit of works on loan from our sister museum, The National Veterans Art Museum.
Curated by Joe Fornelli, an acclaimed artist, Vietnam veteran and Artist Liaison for the National Veterans Art Museum, the exhibit features the works of a dozen artists who fought in Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam.
Mr. Fornelli and many of the other artists will be on hand to speak with guests in attendance.
The event is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. With any donation of $50 or more, new patrons of the IAVM will receive a complimentary copy of our award-winning documentary,"5000 Miles From Home." It's a terrific holiday gift for any history enthusiast.
The Italian-American Veterans Museum is conveniently located just 30 minutes west of the Chicago Loop and 10 minute south of O'Hare at 3800 W. Division Street in Stone Park, IL. Two blocks east of Mannheim Road, the museum is on the third floor of the Casa Italia complex.
