Lindsay Efflandt scattered 4 hits and Cary-Grove scored twice in the fifth inning Wednesday to come away with a 3-2 nonconference win in the Trojans' girls softball season opener.

The Trojans managed 4 hits in the game and overcame 3 errors to gain the victory.

Fremd 5, Prairie Ridge 0: Fremd standout Lena Brottman allowed Prairie Ridge just 2 hits and the Wolves (1-1) commited 3 errors in losing this nonconference game. Johanna Turner allowed 8 hits in suffering the loss for PR.
