Waukegan YMCA brings free Aqua Zumba Party to the pool June 2
Known as the Zumba “pool party,” the Aqua Zumba program gives new meaning to the idea of invigorating exercise and will be offered as a free workout June 2 at the Northern Lake YMCA, 2000 Western Ave., Waukegan.
“Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing, hooting and hollering are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class,” said Lake County Family YMCA Fitness Coordinator Clair Pauschert. “We're excited to offer this integrated Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines. It all comes together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that's cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.”
Ages 12 and up and all fitness levels are welcome as the program can be scaled. The 40-minute class will be offered at 3 p.m. and at 4 p.m. that Saturday.
Edith Salinas, who is licensed to teach Aqua Zumba, will be the instructor.
Call the Northern Lake YMCA at (847) 360-9622 to register. Space is limited.
