POWERFUL STORY TO BE TOLD AT LOCAL CHURCH

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill— Elk Grove Baptist Church will be holding a Men's Breakfast on May 5th. The breakfast will be at 8 a.m. at the church and will feature speaker, John Sidarous. The breakfast is open to men in the community.

Sidarous is an Egyptian-American engineer. Sidarous will speak about his life and how Christ has impacted it. He's a Yom Kippur War veteran and a Roselle resident.

Sidarous has seen God impact his life, especially unattractive times. Sidarous grew up in an Evangelical Christian home in Egypt. At the time, Christianity was slightly more accepted in Egypt than today.

Sidarous fought in the Yom Kippur War. He knew God was protecting him in the war. However, Sidarous knew he had to perform his patriotic duties. Sidarous came to the U.S. in 1975 and has been a citizen the last 25 years. He obtained a PhD here as well.

Sidarous is known as a friend to many and his character. Attendees at the breakfast will get to meet and talk with him. Sidarous is committed to his friends, family, and God. His testimony will impact those who hear it.

“Being part of Bible studies, serving others is what I love,” said Sidarous.
