Grilled Stone Fruit

6-8 ripe, but firm, peaches, nectarines or plums

Honey or sugar

Heat grill to medium,

Cut fruit into quarters, or slices, and remove pit. Put fruit in a medium bowl and toss gently with a little honey or sprinkle with some sugar.

Grill about 5 minutes per side, until warmed through and fruit is a little caramelized. Remove from grill and serve warm, perhaps topped with a little vanilla or cinnamon ice cream.

Serves six.
