Scouting Naperville Central at Glenbard North

Last week: Naperville Central 31, West Chicago 7; WW South 49, Glenbard North 6.

Last year: Glenbard North 27, Naperville Central 14.

Outlook: The Redhawks, who boast an astounding 45 playoff points, must win to reach the playoffs for the eighth straight year. Quarterback Hayden Daniels, also a talented receiver, threw 4 touchdown passes last week while junior running back Matt Randolph added 115 rushing yards. They'll need that kind of balance against a Panthers defense anchored by lineman Alex Wynn. Glenbard North's running back tandem of Evin Natick and Phil Jackson continues to thrive. They combined for 33 carries and 157 rushing yards against WW South. Naperville Central linebacker Will Sayer is on pace to earn a second straight all-DVC selection.
