Hampshire 11, Kirkland-Hiawatha 0: The Whip-Purs (1-0) started their season off right as they cruised to an easy victory at home. Ryan Deschant (2B, 3 RBI), Tyler Crater (2B, 2 RBI), and Ty Hendry (2B, RBI) all paced the Whip-Purs offensively while Ryan Burke threw 3 innings of no-hit baseball, striking out 8, to pick up the victory.

Dundee-Crown 12, Wheeling 2: The Chargers (1-0) dominated in their season-opener as they defeated Wheeling at home. Scott Nowicke went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate, including a home run and 2 RBI. Nick Spagnola and Kirk Hanselmann each went 2-for-3 with an RBI each, while Cory Volberding connected for a grand slam to lead the Chargers. Zach Vodicka picked up the win on the mound, going 4 innings, allowing 3 hits while striking out 3.
