Oak Trace Senior Living Community hosts a 'Yoga Goat-Together'

It's the G.O.A.T of all yoga practices.

Literally.

Last week, the residents of Oak Trace senior living community in Downers Grove participated in a goat yoga session. Natures Trail Yoga in Orland Park brought five goats to interact with a dozen residents practicing yoga.

Goat yoga is a trend that's been sweeping the nation, but generally for a younger crowd. Jessica Lazzara, lifestyles director of Oak Trace, said she was excited to bring the practice to the residents who are always eager to try new things.

Residents in their 70s to 90s participated, with interactions ranging from having a goat balancing on their backs while in downward dog position, to simply getting a nice cuddle, and everything in between.

Yoga, with and without goats, has undisputed health benefits and putting a goat into the mix makes it even better.
