Our Saviour's in Naperville hosts Trunk-or-Treat Oct. 28
Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Naperville will trunk-or-treat for a good cause on Saturday, Oct. 28.
The family-favorite fall event, which last year drew nearly 500 people to Our Saviour's Celebration Campus, will collect donations for the Naperville Area Humane Society this year.
All members of the community are invited to this year's Trunk-or-Treat from 3 to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of Our Saviour's Celebration Campus, 919 S. Washington St.
Our Saviour's Children's & Family Ministries team also will host fall-themed outdoor games and other children's activities, and complimentary hot chocolate or lemonade (depending on the day's weather) will be available for all participants.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a new/unopened item from the Naperville Area Humane Society's wish list, available at www.naperhumane.org/wish-list, for donation at Our Saviour's "Paw Patrol"-themed trunk.
"This is one of Children's & Family Ministries' most popular events, and we love that the Naperville community comes together for a fun afternoon of fellowship," says Kim Walker, children's ministry coordinator at Our Saviour's. "The fact that this year, we'll be helping out some four-legged friends in need in our community as part of Trunk or Treat makes it all the more special."
Additional parking for the event will be available at Our Saviour's north campus, located just a block up at 815 S. Washington St. (next to Edward Hospital).
