Sign up for Field of Dreams' Run 4 The Rescues 5K Aug. 24 in Geneva
The Field of Dreams Horse Rescue and Adoption is seeking runners for its 5K race in August.
Run 4 the Rescues will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, in the Gunnar Anderson Forest Preserve, 719 S. Batavia Ave. in Geneva.
The certified, chip-timed race will begin at the forest preserve and follow the Fox River Trail for a scenic and flat out-and-back run.
Entry fees are $40 for the adult 5K, $15 for the 10-and-under 5K, or $40 for virtual runners.
All registered runners will receive a race T-shirt, and event proceeds directly benefit the Field of Dreams rescue horses.
Pre-race packet pickup will be 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at Dick Pond Athletics, 303 N. Second St. (Route 31) in St. Charles.
Race-day registration and packet pickup open at 6:30 a.m. at the Gunnar Anderson Forest Preserve.

Field of Dreams Horse Rescue and Adoption is a Kane County-based 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is to help reduce the unwanted horse population in the United States.
