Glenbard Parent Series offers Successful Parent-Teacher Conversations Feb. 26
The Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present "Finding Your Voice Around What Matters: Successful Parent-Teacher Conversations and Advocacy" with Jennifer Abrams at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main St. in Lombard.
Successful partnership between families and school staff helps create a positive environment for students to learn, grow and thrive. Student achievement and success increases when parental involvement is welcomed. However, when difficult topics must be addressed, what are the best approaches to work together and benefit the student? Abrams teaches interpersonal communication skills and advocacy strategies to reduce frustration and increase favorable results. Her tips benefit families and educators of students of all ages.
Students are welcome to attend the presentation.
Continuing professional development units are available for educators.
