Guests can enjoy $1 off the Kitchen Sink Sundae (normally $9.99) every Wednesday in September.

This is a test

Diners in the Chicago area can try a limited-time test of Panda Express’ first walk-and-eat snacking item, Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken.

Inspired by traditional Taiwanese street food, the dish features extra-crispy dark meat chicken tossed in a dry spice blend of tamarind, tomato, garlic and onion, finished with fried kale and served with a side of house-made chili crisp aioli.

Panda Express partnered with Taiwanese American designer and cookbook author Frankie Gaw (aka Little Fat Boy) to create a limited-edition collectible pail, available exclusively in test markets with the purchase of a large à la carte pail while supplies last.

Fall wine dinner

Il Mio in Clarendon Hills is highlighting the flavors of fall with an intimate five-course Caymus Wine Dinner on Monday, Oct. 5, pairing each course with a different wine from Caymus Vineyards.

A porcini mushroom ravioli with short rib ragù will be served with Caymus Special Selection cabernet sauvignon, followed by herb-crusted lamb chops with rosemary polenta, roasted squash and a blackberry-Cabernet reduction. Dessert features a roasted grape, Amarena cherry and ricotta crostata paired with Caymus-Suisun Grenache.
