Chicago Photographic Arts Society Exhibits Works at NSYMCA Community Gallery in September

The North Suburban YMCA Community Gallery will be showcasing the work of the Chicago Photographic Arts Society through September. A reception is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 14, at the Y, 2705 Techny Road, in Northbrook. All photographs are for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Y's Visual Arts Program.

The Chicago Photographic Arts Society (CPAS) is a group of 30 committed photographers associated with the Chicago Botanic Garden photography program whose range of photographic interests include abstract, landscape, still life, portraiture and more. Its membership includes current teachers of photography and individuals from varied professional backgrounds ranging from graphic design to law to education.

The NSYMCA's Community Gallery celebrates the diversely talented artists living and working in Chicago's Northern suburbs with monthly exhibits that are free and open to the public.
