Get Christmas Faire tickets now

Purchase tickets by Wednesday for the St. Andrew United Methodist Church Christmas Faire and live auction at 11 a.m. Dec. 2 at the church, 250 N. Gary Ave., Carol Stream. Award ceremony open to all

Club's variety show to benefit charity

Community High School District 94 Future Business Leaders of America will present "Something's A Foot," a variety show, at 4 and 7 p.m. Thursday in the school's auditorium, 326 Joliet, West Chicago. Students will dance, sing and perform stand-up comedy. Admission costs $2 at the 4 p.m. show, $3 for the 7 p.m. show. Proceeds will benefit March of Dimes. Park district plans 'Shrek' party

The Lombard Park District will hold a "Shrek the Third" party from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at the Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S. Finley Road. EAA offers kids free plane rides

EAA Chapter 101 is having the last Young Eagles Rally of the year from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Schaumburg Airport, Irving Park Road and Wright Blvd., Schaumburg. Children ages 8 to 17 may take a free ride with an EAA pilot, weather permitting. Many different types of airplanes are available for rides. There also will be an educational ground school. Show highlights student talent

The School of Performing Arts will present The Artist Performance Showcase at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 2 at North Central College in Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave., Naperville.
