Annual Lavelle Law Food Drive is Back

As they have done for 17 years, the attorneys and staff at Schaumburg-based Lavelle Law will once again host a holiday Food Drive. Donations will go to the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry, which serves approximately 700 families per month.

"The annual Food Drive is an important tradition at Lavelle Law," said founding partner Kerry Lavelle. "Due to COVID restrictions last year, we were able to only make a financial contribution. But with proper protocols in place we are pleased to collect food and other needed items again this year."

Residents are asked to donate non-perishable food items, paper goods, personal care items, baby formula and diapers beginning Oct. 5. The drive will run through Nov. 5 when all donations will be collected and delivered to the food pantry.

Lavelle thanked event sponsor Tony's Fresh Market for kicking things off with a sizable contribution and is excited to welcome a number of new businesses and community groups who have signed on to host collection boxes.

"One of the great things about the Lavelle Law Charities Food Drive is that it is a community-wide effort," Lavelle said. "With so many locations available throughout the area, donating is really convenient."

In addition to the Lavelle Law Schaumburg office at 1933 N. Meacham Road, Suite 600, other drop-off sites include: 1933 North, 1933 N. Meacham Road; Club Pilates, 160 S. "We are excited to use our resources to stock the shelves at the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry," said Lavelle. "It has been a difficult year for many families and the food pantry resources have been stretched thin, so we are counting on the generosity that so many have displayed in the past to help us meet our goals."
