Amateur radio club meets tonight

The York Radio Club will meet at 8 p.m. today at the Elmhurst Fire Department training facility, 910 N. Addison Ave. This month's meeting will include a discussion about how to use the most common radio features. Local Petco goes to the dogs Saturday

As Good as Gold Golden Retriever Rescue of Northern Illinois will hold a Meet-and-Greet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Petco, 412 W. Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale. Midwife will discuss women's health

Need to renew your driver's license?

The Secretary of State Rules of the Road Review Course will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Wood Dale Park District, 111 E. Foster. The course is designed to help participants pass the Illinois driver's license renewal exam and provides information about both the written and road tests, as well as the vision screening. Get tickets soon for symphony benefit

Purchase tickets by March 28 for the Elmhurst Symphony Auxiliary's "Boogie Back to Swing" pops concert, dinner and dance April 12 at the Wyndham Drake Hotel, 2301 York Road, Oak Brook. The event also will include raffles and a silent auction. Proceeds will benefit the Elmhurst Symphony. Tickets cost $125 each, $1,000 for a table of 10. Raffle tickets cost $10 each, three for $25. Parks gala will help save wetlands

The Bloomingdale Parks Foundation's 12th annual Volunteer Recognition Event will be April 5 at the Hilton Chicago Indian Lakes Resort, 250 W. Schick Road, Bloomingdale.

The event will include dinner, dancing, entertainment and a special presentation titled "Window to the Wetlands" by Pizzo and Associates, the ecological restoration firm contracted by the park district.
