Algonquin
• The Congregational Church of Algonquin, 109 Washington St., invites the community to an Easter egg hunt and egg coloring from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. There also will be games and snacks provided. Bring your friends and neighbors of all ages. For details, call (847) 658-5308.
Elgin
• On Saturday, the Elgin Parks and Recreation Department will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunts promptly at 11 a.m. at the Elgin Sports Complex and at Lords Park.
If there's inclement weather, the Lords Park event may be canceled. Visit www.cityofelgin.com that day for the most up-to-date information.
It is free to all children from toddler to 10 years old. Bring your own basket.
After the egg hunt, visit with the Easter Bunny and have your family photo keepsake taken. Photos will only be taken until noon or while supplies last so make sure to get in line early. The event is sponsored by the Elgin Parks and Recreation Department, and Elgin Moose Lodge 799.
The Elgin Sports Complex is at Spartan Drive and McLean Boulevard on the city's west side. Lords Park is located off Grand Boulevard on the city's east side.

• Good Shepherd Lutheran School will hold its third annual Easter egg hunt Saturday at the Christian Life Center, Nesler Road and Route 20. At 8:30 a.m., a muffin breakfast will precede the 9 a.m. Easter egg hunt, rain or shine. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There is a $2 cost per child and all proceeds benefit a Good Shepherd school family with medical bills due to their child's ongoing illness. • Elgin Bible Church, 1580 E. Chicago St. in Elgin, invites you to bring the family to a fun, free Easter celebration on Saturday. • On Saturday, Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 12N462 Tina Trail in Elgin, will host an Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. Saturday. The egg hunt is open to all children age 2 through fourth grade. Huntley
• Join in "egg-citement" as you gather eggs filled with candy and see the Easter Bunny. The Egg Hunt will be at 10 a.m. Saturday.
An egg hunt for children with special needs will be held at 10:30 a.m. Children will be divided into areas by age groups: 2-3, 4-5, and 6-8.
Parking is at the Rec Center on Mill Street, then walk over to Deicke Park. Included in the hunt is the search for that special egg that holds a family pool pass to Stingray Bay Family Aquatic Center and other prizes. Don't be late -- the egg hunt goes quickly. Sleepy Hollow
• On Saturday, the Sleepy Hollow Service Club will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. in Sabatino Park, off Thorobred Lane.
Children scramble to gather eggs left by the Easter Bunny in the fields of Sabatino Park. The hunt is divided into several age categories. Certain eggs have tickets awarding grand prizes. • The South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department has invited the Easter Bunny to the annual Easter Egg Hunt at noon sharp on Saturday.
