"Jeff has been a huge part of building a successful wrestling program," said Elmhurst coach Steve Marianetti. "He's been a starter for four years and is an example of how our wrestlers should be performing."
Kyle Katz (4-0 at 149) and Jake Oster (3-0 at 125) were both perfect at the Border Brawl. Benedictine: For the second time in as many weeks, Benedictine senior Kimyenna Abron rewrote the Eagles' indoor track and field record books as the Eagles finished in ninth-place at the Wisconsin Whitewater Invitational.
Abron again broke the records she set just last week in both the 55 and 200 meters. And in her first-ever race in the 400 at the collegiate level, Abron established a new record, as well.
Abron ran a 7.40 in the preliminaries in the 55, which was the top qualifying time for the 52 entrants. She went on to finish third in the finals with a time of 7.48.
In the 200 meters, Abron took first place out of 56 race entrants, finishing in 26.74, just ahead of the second-place runner.
